(FADEIN: Marcus LaRoque is standing over New ERA World Heavyweight champion Jean Rabesque, who is lying on a gurney, holding an ice pack to his head. LaRoque is walking back and forth, shaking his head.)
LaROQUE: "What do you mean you can’t find him?! LOOK IN THE RAFTERS!"
(A big guy walks into the picture. He’s wearing all black and has a walkie talkie to his ear.)
MAN: "I’m sorry, boss. But my guys are doing the best they can."
LaROQUE: "If they were doing the best they could then that maniac wouldn’t even have made it into the arena! Now my World Heavyweight champion is injured … and who knows what psychological damage this has done to Juliet!"
(Rabesque sits up, holding the icepack on his lap now.)
RABESQUE: "She had psychological problems before this, man.."
(LaRoque pushes him back down..)
LaROQUE: "Don’t you need to rest?"
(LaRoque grabs the head security guard and starts walking down the hallway. In the background, Rabesque sits back up and places the icepack back on his head.)
LaROQUE: "I don’t care WHAT you have to do .. how much force you need to use … It’s a shame we have to do this, but he’s left us no choice.."
(The security guard stops..)
MAN: "You know who this is?"
LaROQUE: "Of course I know who this is .. that’s why I ordered all of you to be here!"
MAN: "Well, tell me who it is so I can go get a warrant.. he’ll spend a good amount of time here in Ontario.."
(LaRoque shakes his head and pats the man on the chest.)
LaROQUE: "No thanks.. once we get him I’m not going to press charges. We just need to show him that we don’t care who he is .. or what he’s done in the past … he can’t go around attacking our men, demanding shots at our World Champion.."
MAN: "I still say you let us take him in.."
LaROQUE: "After your men’s performance so far tonight, I don’t put much stock in anything you have to say…."
(The head security guard looks at Marcus in disbelief, but New ERA’s President continues walking without looking back. CUTTO: Ringside.)
JIVE: "Marcus LaRoque has finally grown some balls!"
GHEORGHE: "Marcus LaRoque putting his foot down.. New ERA’s President usually leaves the dirty work up to Juliet Marceau, but I think he’s finally grown tired of this masked man’s antics!"
JIVE: "All I know is that he took out Rabesque here tonight, and that makes him a-okay in my book!"
GHEORGHE: "Coming up next however we have the SECOND semifinals match in the P©X title tournament! On RAPTURE we saw Chaos defeat Thomas Lombardi in a TAIPEI Death match to move on to the finals … and tonight Rex Reynolds and Dallas Carter will go one on one in a Buried Alive match to see who goes to the PPV!"
JIVE: "Personally, I think Rex Reynolds has the heart … Dallas Carter showed in the newcomer battle royal that he’s got the lives of a cat … but Reynolds won it .. and I think Reynolds will win again tonight."
GHEORGHE: "Let’s go to Carl Jacobs for the introductions!"
(CUTTO: Jacobs standing in the ring, looking out at the mound of dirt at the top of the rampway. The lineup for the match comes on screen, but then gets "shoveled" off.)
JACOBS: "The following match has a THIRTY minute time limit and is a BURIED ALIVE match for the semifinals of the PRODIGY Classic Xtreme Title tournament!"
(SFX: Fans pop huge.)
JACOBS: "The object of the match is to throw your opponent into the ditch where a coffin lies … SHUT the coffin and bury him six feet under!! Introducing first…"
(CUEUP: ‘Price to Pay’ by Staind. Reynolds walks out from behind the curtain, stops to look at the mound of dirt, and then makes his way down to the ring.)
JACOBS: "He stands six foot four and weighs 258 pounds … hailing from Greenville, South Carolina …. He is ‘the FUTURE’ REX REYNOLDS!!"
JIVE: "Look at him .. he is in pristine condition .. and the confidence is just BOOMING!"
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds was impressive in the newcomer battle royal last RAUCOUS, and he looks very much like he could win this entire tournament.."
(CUEUP: The instrumental version of ‘Lithium’ by Nirvana. Dallas Carter walks out on the ramp to a good amount of pop as the fans recognize his performance from the newcomer battle royal. He walks down to the ring, keeping his eyes on Reynolds.)
JACOBS: "And his opponent … he stands six foot five and weighs 247 pounds … hailing from San Antonio, Texas ……. DALLAS CARTER!"
(SFX: Bell rings!)
GHEORGHE: "And this buried alive match is underway!!"
JIVE: "I just hope these two can show me something, something that will prove that no matter who wins, they won’t be a pushover for Chaos in the finals.."
GHEORGHE: "The two men start out in the middle of the ring .. and Rex Reynolds is already starting to say something to Carter trying to get him riled up, but I don’t think its workin….. I GUESS IT DID! CARTER WITH SOME BIG RIGHT HANDS IS SENDING REYNOLDS REELING!"
JIVE: "Sometimes the best thing is to just keep your mouth shut.."
GHEORGHE: " Dallas Carter has Reynolds in the ropes … and now he is driving knee after knee into the gut! Carter grabs the head of Reynolds and he takes him to the mat with a DDT! Carter back to his feet and he grabs the arm of Reynolds to pull him up… and now he irish whips him into the corner! Reynolds on the way back .. AND CARTER WITH A CLOTHESLINE SENDS REYNOLDS FLYING TO THE MAT!"
JIVE: "If anything Dallas Carter has the advantage in this match. He showed some ring prowess in the newcomer battle royal by staying alive after many near eliminations, but he’s primarily a brawler at heart."
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds on his back as Carter walks over to him .. and now Carter with some vicious stomps to the chest! Reynolds tries to roll to the ropes and he has them .."
JIVE: "This is a no DQ match, Tom! The referee won’t protect him!"
GHEORGHE: "Carter follows him over .. AND HE CONTINUES TO STOMP AWAY! Reynolds rolls to the outside and Carter is now coming through the ropes! Carter hops to the arena floor … he picks up Rex Reynolds … AND HE SLAMS HIS HEAD INTO THE GUA—NO! Reynolds blocks the attempt … AND REYNOLDS SLAMS CARTER’s HEAD INTO THE GUARDRAIL! Carter pops up and starts walking away holding his head … AND REYNOLDS FROM BEHIND BULLDOGS HIM TO THE ARENA FLOOR!"
JIVE: "Reynolds with a burst of energy there, but now both men are on the arena floor.."
GHEORGHE: "The early attack by Carter has taken a little away from Rex Reynolds, but the Future is getting back to his feet! He picks up the leg of Dallas Carter .. and he places it in between the guardrail poles … AND HE HOPS DOWN ON THE KNEE OF CARTER! Carter shoots up in pain …. And he tries to grab the tights of Reynolds … BUT REYNOLDS HOPS ON THE KNEE OF CARTER AGAIN! Reynolds now with the upperhand in this match!"
JIVE: "Reynolds better capitalize on this as much as he can .. because once Carter gets his strength back there’s going to be hell to pay!"
GHEORGHE: " Rex Reynolds now walking over to the timekeeper .. and he throws him from his chair! Rex Reynolds picks up the chair and folds it .. and now he’s walking back over to Dallas Carter who is trying to get his leg from being wedged in the guardrail! Reynolds measures the knee up… AND SLAMS THE CHAIR INTO THE KNEE OF DALLAS CARTER! AND AGAIN!! AND AGAIN!! Dallas Carter sits up in pain trying to get his leg out …. AND REX REYNOLDS LEVELS CARTER IN THE HEAD WITH THE CHAIR!!"
(SFX: Fans pop!)
JIVE: "These fans are blood thirsty! Maybe I was wrong about certain Canadians.."
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds now pulls the leg of Carter out from the guardrail.."
JIVE: "If I were him I would have left it in there until I knocked him out cold .. then dragged his ass up the ramp, dumped him in the casket and covered it.."
GHEORGHE: "Well you’re NOT him, Nick .. so stop criticizing his choices.."
JIVE: "Ooo .. someone must be on the rag.. is it that time of the month again, Gheorghe?"
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds sets up the chair … and now he goes over to Dallas Carter and grabs him by the tights to bring him to his feet. Rex Reynolds goes behind Carter… AND RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE CHAIR! I think .. I think.. YES! DALLAS CARTER HAS BEEN BUSTED OPEN!"
JIVE: "That’s not going to help his cause out any.."
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds brings Carter back up … AND HE’s WALKING OVER TO THE RAMP!! I think Rex Reynolds is going to try to end this thing!"
JIVE: "It can’t end this early!! Reynolds needs to play with him some more!"
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds has him halfway up the ramp … BUT CARTER IS FIGHTING! Carter with some shots to the midsection and Reynolds is bent over!! AND DALLAS CARTER WITH A KNEE LIFT SENDS REX REYNOLDS OFF THE SIDE OF THE RAMP AND TO THE ARENA FLOOR!!!"
JIVE: "He’s in that space between the ramp and the guardrail!"
GHEORGHE: "Carter walks over to the edge … AND HE FLIES OFF AND NAILS REYNOLDS WITH A DOUBLE AXE HANDLE! Reynolds goes down to the floor like a sack of potatoes and Carter is also down! I think Carter landed on that leg that Reynolds just finished working over because he is holding that knee!"
JIVE: "I said Carter was a brawler at heart .. he’s just stupid up in the head.."
GHEORGHE: " Dallas Carter rolling around on the arena floor holding his knee … and Rex Reynolds is lying flat on his stomach… since this is the semifinals there MUST be a winner!"
JIVE: "Just give the title to Chaos! Save him the practice at International Intrigue!"
GHEORGHE: "Carter uses the guardrail to get to his feet .. and now he picks up Reynolds … and he limps him back to the base of the ramp … AND NOW DALLAS CARTER HOOKS THE STOMACH OF REYNOLDS AND BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEXES HIM ONTO THE RAMP!"
JIVE: "That’s one way to get your opponent up the ramp!"
GHEORGHE: "Carter continuing to hobble on that bad leg … and he hobbles up to Reynolds … he picks up Reynolds … and now they’re continuing up the ramp to the platform where the casket is! THEY ARE ON THE PLATFORM!"
JIVE: "If Carter tosses him in, shuts the lid and buries him, then I’ll be impressed.. but I still think Reynolds is going to walk out the winner.. I doubt Carter will even be able to WALK after this match."
GHEORGHE: "Carter has Reynolds on the platform… and he body slams him right onto it! That platform is all metal … it’s not like the mat in the ring! And Carter follows up the body slam with a standing elbow drop! Dallas Carter has seemingly gotten a second wind as he wraps the arms of Reynolds …. AND DALLAS CARTER WITH A CHICKENWING ON TOP OF THE RAMP!!"
JIVE: "This isn’t a submission match either .. Carter knows this … he’s just doing this to cause even more pain and destruction! If Reynolds doesn’t have the arm strength, he won’t be able to open the coffin if its shut!"
GHEORGHE: " Dallas Carter has got the crossface chickenwing on and he does not seem like he is going to be letting go anytime soon!"
JIVE: "Likewise he shouldn’t have to! Knock Reynolds unconscious … that would seem like as good a plan as any!"
GHEORGHE: "Well they are right next to the mound of dirt .. so I guess it wouldn’t be too much of a haul to get Reynolds in the hole."
JIVE: "Exactly .. Dallas Carter knows what he’s doing … but Reynolds has got to have a plan… he seems like the type of wrestler who knows what he’s doing .. even if he’s having his ass handed to him…"
GHEORGHE: "Well right now Reynolds doesn’t seem to be doing anything … he’s got one arm tied behind his back and his other is lying in the dirt…. WAIT A MINUTE!! Rex Reynolds has just grabbed a handful of that dirt from the mound!! Reynolds struggling to bring the dirt up ….. AND HE TOSSES IT OVER HIS SHOULDER AND INTO THE EYES OF DALLAS CARTER!! CARTER RELEASES THE HOLD AND GRABS HIS FACE!"
JIVE: "See! I told you! This is why Rex Reynolds is going to win here tonight … granted he’s going to lose at International Intrigue .. but he’s going to win here tonight!"
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds is unable to capitalize on the break … and Carter is rolling on the platform trying to get the dirt out of his eyes! Rex Reynolds probably not only saved his chance at the P©X Title .. but his wrestling future as well!"
JIVE: "Always a penchant for the overdramatic, eh, Gheorghe?"
GHEORGHE: "Look at that, you’re getting more Canadian every day…"
JIVE: "WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?!"
GHEORGHE: "Discovering your Canadian heritage?"
JIVE: "SHUT UP … just… SHUT … UP! I need to get out of this god damned country!"
GHEORGHE: "Carter has gotten back to his feet .. but he’s stumbling around .. I think he might be blinded … Rex Reynolds is trying to get to his feet … and he grabs another handful of dirt ….. Carter stumbles over to him … AND REYNOLDS TOSSES ANOTHER HANDFUL OF DIRT IN CARTER’s FACE!"
JIVE: "That kid is going to need a Seeing Eye dog for weeks after this match!"
GHEORGHE: " Rex Reynolds gets back to his feet finally .. and he is nursing the shoulder… Dallas Carter walks back over … AND REYNOLDS WITH A HIIIIIIIIIIIGH BACK BODY DROP!!"
JIVE: "HE LANDED NEAR THE HOLE!"
GHEORGHE: "DALLAS CARTER’s LEGS ARE HANGING IN THE HOLE WHERE THE CASKET IS!! Rex Reynolds turns … AND HE SEES THIS! Reynolds rushes up the dirt mound and … HE PUSHES CARTER IN!! DALLAS CARTER IS IN THE HOLE!"
(CUTTO: Overview shot .. Carter is hanging half in / half out of the casket!)
JIVE: "But he’s not in the casket!"
GHEORGHE: " Rex Reynolds walks back and forth … AND FINALLY HE HOPS DOWN IN WITH CARTER!! Reynolds pushes all of Dallas Carter into the casket … AND HE SHUTS THE LID!"
JIVE: "All he has to do is hop out and cover him up! I told you Reynolds would go to the finals!"
GHEORGHE: "Reynolds puts his hands up and is pulling himself out! He’s almost got this thing won!"
JIVE: "Wait .. is that Dallas Carter’s hand?!"
GHEORGHE: " DALLAS CARTER HAS JUST FLUNG OPEN THE CASKET! Reynolds is almost out of the hole … BUT DALLAS CARTER GRABS THE LEG OF REYNOLDS ….. AND HE YANKS HIM BACK IN!! CARTER HAS REYNOLDS BY THE FACE …. AND FACE BUSTERS HIM ONTO THE CASKET!!!!!"
(SFX: Fans pop huge!)
JIVE: " Rex Reynolds didn’t lock the casket .. and now Dallas Carter is back in this thing!"
GHEORGHE: " Dallas Carter now trying to shove Reynolds into the casket … but REYNOLDS RAKES HIS EYES!! Dallas Carter stands up … and now Carter is trying to pull himself out of the hole!"
JIVE: "And Reynolds is up on the other side trying to get out!"
GHEORGHE: "Both men are pulling themselves out … AND CARTER IS OUT .. but he falls to the ground!! Rex Reynolds is out … he’s holding his head as he walks over to Dallas Carter …."
(SFX: CLANG!!!!)
GHEORGHE: "OH MY GOD!! DALLAS CARTER JUST NAILED REYNOLDS IN THE FACE WITH THE SHOVEL!!! REYNOLDS GOES DOWN AND IS BUSTED OPEN!!!"
JIVE: "Hahaha! Carter caught Reynolds off guard!"
GHEORGHE: "What are you laughing for, your guy is about to lose!"
JIVE: "Oh shit .. you’re right! NOOO!"
GHEORGHE: "Carter gets to his feet…"
(SFX: CLANG!!!)
GHEORGHE: "AND HE CLOCKS REYNOLDS IN THE FACE AGAIN WITH THE SHOVEL! ONCE WAS ENOUGH! Carter drops the shovel as he picks up Rex Reynolds ….. and he hits an inverted atomic drop! Reynolds gingerly walking forward…. AND CARTER SPEARS HIM DOWN THE MOUND TO THE PLATFORM!"
JIVE: "Those two took a tumble!"
GHEORGHE: " Dallas Carter, however, back to his feet …. AND HE IS CALLING FOR THE END!! Carter grabs Reynolds by the hair and leads him back up the mound … they are standing right at the opening of the hole in the ground …. And Carter places Reynolds head between his legs …………. AND DALLAS CARTER POWERBOMBS REX REYNOLDS FROM THE TOP OF THE MOUND SIX FEET DOWN INTO THE CASKET!"
(CUTTO: Overview shot .. Reynolds is lying in the casket..)
JIVE: "GET OUT OF THERE! I CAN’T BE WRONG!"
GHEORGHE: " DALLAS CARTER GRABS THE SHOVEL HANDLE …. AND HE’s TRYING TO SHUT THE LID FROM THE MOUND!! He hits the lid …. He hits it again ….. AND THE THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM!! The lid is closed!! CARTER QUICKLY TO HIS FEET ….. AND HE BEGINS SHOVELING DIRT ON TOP OF THE CASKET!! BY GOD DALLAS CARTER HAS WON THIS MATCH!!!"
(SFX: Bell rings.)
JIVE: "NOOOOOOOO!!"
JACOBS: "The winner of this match … and advancing to meet Chaos in the FINALS of the PRODIGY Classic Xtreme title tournament at International Intrigue …… DALLAS CARTER!!"
GHEORGHE: "WHAT A MATCH!"
JIVE: "Well, at least Chaos will have an easier time!"
GHEORGHE: " Dallas Carter winning a hard fought match … and while he might have been the runner up in the newcomer battle royal, he is now the one in the finals of the P©X Title tournament! We’ve got to take a commercial break … but when we come back… Jonathan Marx and MWG will take on Jason Payne and Alister Hayze in a tag team match that should blow the roof off the Air Canada Centre!!!"
