(FADEIN: A black screen. CUEUP: ‘Who Said’ by Planet Funk as the following words slowly scroll from the bottom of the screen to the center of the screen.)

THE ROAD IS SET..

THE TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP IS IN THE DISTANCE ..

WHO WILL FAIL?

(Fading from the black background and slowly coming up behind the words is the RAUCOUS logo. As it fades closer and closer, it transcends the words and they disintegrate as the logo takes precedence on the screen.)

(FADETO: The rafters of the Wachovia Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. There are lights scanning the crowd as they are on their feet. Some of the fans are holding signs: "BORE-ESQUE", "WELLS IS A PUSSY!" amongst others..)

(CUTTO: The announcer’s table as Tom Gheorghe is sitting. Nick Jive comes running around the corner and hops into his seat, winded.. They both look up as they are cued.)

JIVE: "Man! What the hell! I was sitting in my lockerroom and they wait till the very last moment until they tell me we’re about to go on air!"

GHEORGHE: "Actually, Nick, we’re late because of you!"

JIVE: "What can I say, the show would die without me!"

GHEORGHE: "Welcome to the Wachovia Center at Casey Plaza as we bring you RAUCOUS live from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania!"

JIVE: "And man .. what a night life this two cow town has."

GHEORGHE: "That’s not very nice."

JIVE: "Come on now, Tom. You were out last night with some of us. I don’t mean to sound rude or anything, but my grandmother had more teeth than some of those girls in that bar … and she’s 91!"

GHEORGHE: "They were nice girls!"

JIVE: "You must have gotten a discount, you ass!"

(Gheorghe gives Jive a cutting glance as he looks at the camera.)

GHEORGHE: "Welcome to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as we have a great crowd here tonight in the Wachovia Center at Casey Plaza!"

JIVE: "You can smell the excitement …" (Jives covers his nose)

GHEORGHE: "Not only do we have a great crowd, but we also got a great show as eight more men fight for the chance to move on in the Television Championship tournament … including a new comer to New ERA, ‘Violent’ Nick Savage, who replaced Cross in the tournament."

JIVE: "A shame too! I thought Cross was going to go far in New ERA … but hey, with a guy like Savage, I am not too worried.."

GHEORGHE: "Let’s take a look at our updated Tournament progress."

JIVE: "I can tell you right now who is going to win …"

GHEORGHE: "Alright, then let us have it."

JIVE: "Nick Savage is going to destroy John Doe .. I don’t even think I need to mention how bad Suicidal Killer is going to hurt Jared Wells…"

GHEORGHE: "Woah, I think I have to disagree with both of those. John Doe has made a great impact here in New ERA and Jared Wells is one of the best wrestlers to grace a wrestling ring.."

JIVE: "Keep Dreaming, Tom. The American is going to teach The Renaissance Man some great lessons in wrestling, and Brody Hansen is going to make Jean Rabesque wish that he was back in Montreal .."

GHEORGHE: "Well its obvious where your allegiances lie, Nick."

JIVE: "Hey, I just know how to pick winners."

GHEORGHE: "Well then, who is going to win the Television Championship when this is all over?"

JIVE: "Suicidal Killer."

GHEORGHE: "Wasn’t he your pick for the World Heavyweight Championship?"

JIVE: "That hit some snags … mostly because of Jean Rabesque.."

GHEORGHE: "I see. Well I’m sure Jean Rabesque would definitely challenge you on that call."

JIVE: "After tonight he’ll be lucky if he can walk, forget about remember what I’ve said!"

GHEORGHE: "In case you missed last RAUCOUS, Jean Rabesque revealed himself to be the mystery man … and he and Larry Tact had a very intense showdown."

JIVE: "It’s a shame that Larry Tact and El Arco Iris moved on .. can you imagine what will happen if El Arco Iris wins the World Heavyweight Championship???"

GHEORGHE: "I think Iris would make a hell of a champion, Nick. He’s got the dedication and the heart to carry this promotion."

JIVE: "There is a difference between the heart and the body, Tom. Iris would be worn out after a match."

GHEORGHE: "As we mentioned, Larry Tact and El Arco Iris are in the final four battle royal for the World Heavyweight Championship, as is Jonathan Marx and Peter File…"

JIVE: "Now Peter File is a guy who I think can carry this promotion. He’s got all the fans behind him …"

GHEORGHE: "Uh …"

JIVE: "Come on, you’re telling me that you don’t see those little kids light up when File walks down to ringside??"

GHEORGHE: "You’re even worse than I thought, Nick."

JIVE: "What?"

(Gheorghe ignores the question.)

GHEORGHE: "Ladies and gentlemen, when we get back, we’ll start off the quarterfinals of the Television Championship tournament!"

JIVE: "No really, what?"
