PRESENTS ....

(FADEIN: Larry Tact sitting in the audience. His cell phone rings and he brings it up to his ear. He covers his mouth as he talks into it, nodding a few times. He smiles as he hangs it up, and leans back in his chair, crossing his arms. CUTTO: Announce table.)

JIVE: "What was that about?"

GHEORGHE: "I’m not sure, but whatever it was, our World Heavyweight Champion didn’t seem to want to get what he said on camera."

JIVE: "You mean, YOUR World Heavyweight Champion."

GHEORGHE: "Hey, you’re employed by the same company as I am, so that makes him your World Heavyweight Champion, too."

JIVE: "I don’t think so, Jack."

GHEORGHE: "Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is going to be the second of our double debut matches here tonight on RAUCOUS. We got two impressive guys, Angel Latora and Troy Douglas, who want to start their New ERA careers off with a victory."

JIVE: "I think its safe to say that any newcomer wants to start of with a win in their new company, so its not just their hopes."

GHEORGHE: "Well that’s just assumed, Nick."

JIVE: "Let’s just get this over with … I don’t need to spend the next twenty minutes listening to Jacobs."

GHEORGHE: "Lets go to Carl Jacobs for the ring announcements."

(CUTTO: The fans in attendance as the lineup for the match comes on the screen. CUTTO: Carl Jacobs standing in the ring.)

JACOBS: "Ladies and gentlemen, the following match has a thirty minute time limit and is scheduled for ONE FALL… introducing first …"

(CUEUP: ‘Kick Some Ass’ by Stroke 9.)

JACOBS: "His whereabouts are unknown …. He stands 5’9" and weighs 185 pounds …."

(Angel Latora comes through the curtains and flashes the fans the OK sign as some in the audience cheer for him.)

JACOBS: "El Perno Prisioner Uno" ANGEL LATORA!"

(Latora comes down to the ring and slides inside.)

GHEORGHE: "Latora is one of the most promising luchadors I have seen in a long while, Nick. I think this match with Douglas will be entertaining as Douglas is more of a power-based mat technician."

JIVE: "As is most of our roster it seems."

JACOBS: "And his opponent…"

(CUEUP: "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin. As the opening chords of the song play, the arena lights go to dark, and red and blue spotlights slowly wind throughout the arena. As Robert Plant starts singing, 4 words flash in sequence on the big screen in white..."END...OF...THE...ROAD". As Plant sings "All will be revealed", a single loud cannon shot brings the lights back and Troy Douglas emerges from the entranceway, walking down the ramp and playing to the crowd. Behind him, a montage of Troy in the ring plays on the screen. CUT TO: Troy hitting the "Off the Edge" Shooting Star Press on Stephen Waltz. CUT TO: Troy knocking DreamMaker out of the ring at GXW Genesis to win the X-treme Title. CUT TO: Troy hitting Cameron Cruise with the Broken Dream facebuster suplex. CUT TO: Troy with an Implant DDT on Clapper at Battleground Britain. CUT TO: A sequence of Troy hitting the End of the Road on various oppoenents, with the tape accelearting as it runs its course.)

JACOBS: "Hailing from GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA …… he stands 6 foot 5 and weighs 265 pounds …… TROY DOUGLAS!"

(Douglas gets into the ring and once more plays to the crowd.)

JIVE: "With an almost 100 pound weight advantage, this is going to be a simple massacre."

GHEORGHE: "I doubt that. If Latora can keep things fast paced he can keep the ball in his court."

(SFX: Bell rings)

GHEORGHE: "LATORA IMMEDIATELY STARTS HITTING DOUGLAS WITH SOME FAST LEG WHIPS!"

JIVE: "So the match will last more than four seconds .. my guess is 20."

GHEORGHE: "Latora has Douglas back into the ropes … AND A SPINNING HEEL KICK SENDS TROY DOUGLAS OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE ARENA FLOOR! The fans are already on their feet as Angel Latora starts the match off with a bang!"

JIVE: "Douglas doesn’t seem to know what happened!"

GHEORGHE: "Douglas turns back around … AND LATORA RUNS AND JUMPS OFF THE TOP ROPE AND NAILS A FLYING CROSS BODY BLOCK ONTO THE ARENA FLOOR!! Angel Latora is up and the fans in the front row are trying to pat him on the back!"

JIVE: "Don’t pat too hard, you may snap his spine!"

GHEORGHE: "Angel Latora waits for Troy Douglas to get onto his feet …. HURRICANR—NO! Troy Douglas blocks the hurricanrana attempt AND POWERBOMBS ANGEL LATORA ONTO THE MATTED ARENA FLOOR!"

JIVE: "Latora can try to keep the tempo quick, but Douglas is a big man .. he can handle moves .. whereas a move like that can literally disable ‘El Perosna Taco de Pollo’.."

GHEORGHE: "You mean ‘El Perno Prisioner Uno’ …"

JIVE: "What did I say?"

GHEORGHE: "Nevermind. Troy Douglas shaking off the cobwebs and he rolls Latora back into the ring. Douglas now in the ring too and he begins to go to work on the lower back of Angel Latora."

JIVE: "That back just got smashed on the floor, so I’m guessing we know where a majority of Douglas’ attack will be."

GHEORGHE: "Douglas now stepping over Latora … and he locks on a Cobra Clutch!"

JIVE: "Latora just might not make it 5 minutes …"

GHEORGHE: "I think that the adrenaline pumping through both their bodies will see them well past the 5 minute mark. Latora looks to be in an immense amount of pain as he is struggling to get to the ropes that are in front of him .. He is trying to wriggle his arm free to get there …. AND FINALLY THE ARMS SLIPS OUT AND THE MOVE IS BROKEN! Troy Douglas doesn’t let up, though, and picks Latora to his feet ….. Douglas hooks the head of Latora ….. AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A DRAGON SUPLEX!"

JIVE: "See!"

GHEORGHE: "DOUGLAS WITH THE COVER! ONE …. TW—NO! Latora managed to kick out! Douglas on his feet and brings up El Perno with him… Irish whip into the ropes ….. Latora ducks under the clothesline attempt … BOUNCES BACK AND HITS A HURRICAN—NO!"

JIVE: "It didn’t work the first time, it sure as hell isn’t going to work this time!"

GHEORGHE: "DOUGLAS CATCHES HIM …. AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A FLAP JACK!!! THE COVER!!! ONE …… TWO ….. THRE—LATORA KICKS OUT!"

JIVE: "I guess a part of adrenaline is stupidity, yea?"

GHEORGHE: "Latora is making an effort to try to turn this match around .. Troy Douglas just isn’t giving him that opportunity. Douglas goes to the second turnbuckle … measures Latora … comes off with an elbow … BUT LATORA ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY AND DOUGLAS HITS THE MAT!"

JIVE: "But can he do anything besides lie there on the mat is the question."

GHEORGHE: "Douglas stretching his arm as that elbow hit pretty hard … he walks over to Latora …. LATORA WITH A QUICK KICK TO THE HEAD …. LATORA NOW WITH AN ARM RINGER ….. AND HE BRINGS DOUGLAS TO THE MAT WITH AN INVERTED DDT!"

JIVE: "So it looks like the little punk does have some fight let in him afterall."

GHEORGHE: "Troy Douglas is on the mat … AND ANGEL LATORA JUMPS ON THE MIDDLE ROPE AND COMES OFF WITH A MOONSAULT ON TOP OF DOUGLAS!!!! ONE ….. TWO …. KICKOUT BY DOUGLAS!"

JIVE: "I can’t believe it … ‘El Burrito With Cheese, Hold the Onions’ almost got a three count!"

GHEORGHE: "El Perno PRISIONER UNO’ waits in the corner for Douglas to get to his feet …. LATORA RUNS AT DOUGLAS … Douglas waiting … BUT LATORA SLIDES BETWEEN HIS LEGS … Douglas turns … AND LATORA BRINGS HIM TO THE MAT WITH A HEADSCISSOR TAKEDOWN!!!"

CROWD: "N . E . W ! N . E . W !"

GHEORGHE: "And the fans are back on their feet!"

JIVE: "Are you trying to say that they only applaud the actions of Latora and couldn’t care less about Troy Douglas?"

GHEORGHE: "No, I’m saying that the fans are on their feet! Angel Latora now … ROLLS UP TROY DOUGLAS WITH A ROLL OVER PIN …. ONE …. TW—KICKOUT BY DOUGLAS! Douglas is NOT happy as he is quickly to his feet! Latora knicks up … AND DOUGLAS SPEARS LATORA!!!"

JIVE: "That’s a quick way to knock the wind out of someone’s sails … and their lungs."

GHEORGHE: "Troy Douglas bringing Latora to his feet. Almost irish whips him into the turnbuckle, but thought better of it at the last moment. Douglas walks Latora to the corner … and puts him there … and DOUGLAS RAMMING HIS SHOULDER INTO THE MIDSECTION OF ANGEL LATORA!"

JIVE: "By working on the mid section, he’s also working on the back … and, he’s taking more wind out of Latora. How can Latora be quick when he doesn’t have any oxygen?"

GHEORGHE: "Troy Douglas now placing Angel Latora ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! DOUGLAS IS UP TOP AS WELL!! DOUGLAS PLACES LATORA’s HEAD BETWEEN HIS LEGS!"

JIVE: "Wait … he isn’t …. TROY DOUGLAS IS GOING TO POWERBOMB ANGEL LATORA FROM THE TOP ROPE TO THE ARENA FLOOR!!!"

GHEORGHE: "Douglas is motioning to the arena floor …. HE PICKS UP LATORA .. WAIT!!! LATORA MANAGES TO GO OVER THE HEAD OF DOUGLAS!!! LATORA IS SLIDING DOWN THE BACK OF DOUGLAS WHILE DOUGLAS IS SWAYING BACK AND FORTH ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!"

JIVE: "If Douglas falls the wrong way he could seriously hurt himself!!!"

GHEORGHE: "Latora is on the apron now behind him!!! LATORA PULLS OUT THE LEGS OF TROY DOUGLAS AND DOUGLAS COMES BACK INTO THE RING HITTING HIS HEAD ON THE TURNBUCKLE! Troy Douglas comes stumbling out of the corner …. AND HE TAKES DOWN DOUGLAS WITH A RUNNING ENZIGUIRI!!!"

JIVE: "If he was smart he’d cover him!"

GHEORGHE: "Latora doesn’t make the cover … BUT IS GOING BACK UP TOP!!!"

JIVE: "Angel Latora is throwing his first victory away …"

GHEORGHE: "Latora is perched on the top rope ……."

(SFX: Crowd pops huge)

GHEORGHE: "AND HE NAILS A 450 SPLASH ON DOUGLAS!!!!!! THE CROWD HAS ERUPTED!"

JIVE: "I can’t even hear myself! ‘El Guadalupe Honduras Nicaragua’ has riled these fans up!"

GHEORGHE: "Latora CANT MAKE THE COVER THOUGH! Latora looks to be beat after the 450 Splash, and Troy Douglas is out of it! I would think that after all that, Troy Douglas would have a very slim chance at kicking out of a pin attempt!"

JIVE: "The referee is putting the standing ten count on them.."

GHEORGHE: "The ref up to 5 as Angel Latora begins to move … he is on his knees … the ref now up to 8 … AND LATORA MAKES IT BEFORE 10. Latora trying to pick up Troy Douglas ….. DOUGLAS WITH A SMALL PACKAGE!!!! ONE …… TWO ……. THREE!"

JIVE: "NO! Latora kicked out!"

GHEORGHE: "Troy Douglas almost STOLE that victory as Latora had a hard time blocking that. Latora is back to his feet though as Douglas is still on the mat. Latora with a few swift kicks to the head of Douglas … and he gets him on his feet! Latora with an IRISH WHIP AND DOUGLAS GOES CHEST FIRST INTO THE CORNER! Latora puts Troy Douglas on the second turnbuckle…"

JIVE: "They say the third time is a charm…"

GHEORGHE: "LATORA IS SIGNALLING THAT HE’s going to do a SECOND TUNRBUCKLE HURRICANRANA!!!"

JIVE: "Well, he gets a gold star for trying."

GHEORGHE: "LATORA ON THE SECOND ROPES ….. LATORA WITH A SECOND ROPE HURRICAN --- NO!!!"

JIVE: "Oh Jesus."

GHEORGHE: "TROY DOUGLAS CATCHES HIM AGAIN!!! Latora tries to get some fists into the face of Douglas!!"

JIVE: "That’s all he needs is to be dumped on his head from the second turnbuckle."

(SFX: Crowd pops huge!)

GHEORGHE: "THERE IT IS!!! THERE IT IS!!! THE END OF THE ROAD!!!! TROY DOUGLAS TURNED THAT HURRICANRANA ATTEMPT FROM THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE INTO THE SITOUT DOUBLE UNDERHOOK PILEDRIVER!!!"

JIVE: "Rest in Peace, El Perro de Chihuahua."

GHEORGHE: "Douglas with the cover …… ONE ………. TWO ……….. THREEEEEE!"

(SFX: Bell rings)

JACOBS: "The winner of this match via pinfall ………. TROY DOUGLAS!"

GHEORGHE: "Both men put up a hard fought match … and if this is ANY indication of things to come from either man … then I go on record now as saying there is a match that I’d love to see down the road for a New ERA championship!"

JIVE: "And I bet that time, Latora won’t go for the hurricanrana!"

GHEORGHE: "I’m glad you used his last name this time .. but we’ve got to take a commercial break ….. WHEN WE COME BACK … JONATHAN MARX …. RENAISSANCE MAN ….. IN ACTION!"

(FADEOUT: As Troy Douglas exits the rings and has fans trying to touch him … Angel Latora lies in the middle of the ring, his foot tapping on the mat.)
